Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death Repaired

I’ve had a sick Xbox 360, flashing the dreaded Red Ring of Death (RRoD), sitting in my Utah office for almost a year now. I’d replaced it with an Xbox 360 Elite, and since I’m only in this office for a few days each month, I didn’t feel a rush to get it fixed. But it sat there on my floor taunting me, so I finally decided to do something about it.

So I Googled to see if anyone in the Provo, Utah area did the repair for cheaper (and with less shipping hassle) than paying Microsoft $90 for something that shouldn’t have happened anyway.

I found XBAdvance, which is actually a dude named Patrick who fixes them in his garage pawn shop in Spanish Fork, Utah I dropped off my dead Xbox 360 in the evening, then picked it up the next morning and gladly paid the $50.

My repaired system has been running non-stop for the past 4 hours (I updated the system software and decided to keep it running to test the fix).

Patrick offers a 60-day warranty on all his repairs, and was very responsive to my calls and emails.

If you’re in the Salt Lake or Utah County area and need your Xbox 360’s red ring of death repaired, I can recommend Patrick highly. He also buys broken Xboxes for parts.
