BlueFusion by Scoche — My wife’s been nagging me gently reminding me that she wants to be able to listen to her iPhone’s music library in her 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV. Combine that with her patriotic respect of the law and love of automobile safety (she’s never got a ticket, and her first one […]

Final assembled grill — I’ve been a “big stainless steel natural gas” barbeque grill guy for a long time. I’ve owned everything from entry-level Nexgrill units, to mid-level KitchenAid grills, all the way up to the big-daddy Viking grills. So this past Saturday, when my wife and I hit our local Costco, our intent was […]

When the HDMI port stopped working (about a year out of warranty, of course) on the Vizio P50HD 50″ plasma TV in the living room at our Utah house, I thought “huh — that’s weird,” then promptly unplugged the HDMI cable from “HDMI In 1” on the TV, plugged it into “HDMI […]

Paul glues new dust covers on the repaired speakers. — Not long ago, we started to notice a distorted “buzzing” sound from our left and right front speakers in our family room, particularly when the TV was playing something with a lot of bass (like explosions, engine noise, or gunfire). I love our family room speakers. They’re made by an English […]

After every reboot (which I only do after a Windows Update), shared folders were no longer available to network clients. My initial workaround was to RDC to the server, right-click on […]

GoPro Hero 3 can play HD videos in Windows 7, if you install additional codecs — My wife bought me a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition for my birthday. It’s awesome.
